Month 2 – Rhythm + Ritual

Healing-Centred Design is guided by 5 principles, which work together to create support and sustainability.

The first is Rhythm and Ritual, which provides you with the powerful qualities of safety, calm and ease. Rhythms and rituals, when embedded in your work and life, infuse meaning and significance into endings and beginnings and help create patterns you can trust and feel safe in.

Powerful Processes

This worksheet will help you create a process around any area of your work or life that feels stressful.

A process is a series of actions or steps that are taken to achieve a particular outcome or complete a specific task. Processes are an important part of establishing rhythms in our work and lives.

  • When we design and plan a process, we do the ‘thinking-work’ ahead of time.
  • Then we can follow the process without becoming stressed by decision-making in the moment.
  • These steps might take 30 mins to an hour to complete the first time but when you have built the process-making muscle you’ll be able to create much quicker the next time!

Where and how to enrich your work and life with Rhythms and Rituals
