Module 5 – Transition
Transition, transient, transformation. What happens in between things? Transition is about pausing, resting, reflecting and moving through things with care.
Transition is a useful principle when you are seeking wisdom and nurturing your own intuition.

Explore: Transition
Change can be hard to process and go through. Change in jobs, relationships, living situations, all take energy and can all be transformative. Transition offers us space to reflect and enable a mindset where we can grow through, rather than fear change.
Reflecting on expectations, anticipations, needs and hopes is a useful way to start the week or a project. Transition also means letting go of what you don’t need anymore, pausing the ‘doing’ and allowing spaciousness, through rest. Its often in these moments of rest that expansive wisdom arrives.
Design your Own: Rest and Reflect Ritual
How can you design a way of resting that works for you, using the principles of Healing-Centred Design? Use this worksheet to help you engage in resting as a radical act, supporting yourself through change and moving through from one place to another.
Sometimes we can create the environment we need for transition – small tasks or routines or physical changes to signal a movement and set our brains and bodies up for it. Reflect on where an when you have time to think and process. Sometimes pockets of time like school runs or dog walks provide helpful moments of transition. Other times you might need a solo day, or week to process and move through things. Resting provides the best time to reflect and process with ease, quieting your body and space to rest, enables you to naturally move through things.
