Compassion Bolton

How can communities create practical change together and influence wider systems?

Compassion Bolton is a partnership between A Brilliant Thing CIC, 1Point Bolton and the Octagon Theatre, funded by The Bolton Fund at Bolton CVS.

Beginning in September 2026, the project brings together organisations from across Bolton to co-design and deliver local micro-missions that strengthen compassion, safety and healing-centred practice within communities.

Building on the Trauma-Informed Communities toolkit and the Compassion Circle community of practice, participating organisations will work together through facilitated development sessions, peer learning and practical action. Each cluster will design and test community-based ideas before sharing learning across Bolton to influence wider systems and future practice.

The programme supports organisations to build stronger relationships, develop practical solutions together and create lasting change that extends beyond individual projects.

The result is a stronger network of organisations with greater confidence, shared learning and practical examples of healing-centred practice that can be adopted across Bolton.

Compassion Bolton partners are co-designing healing-centred communities.
