The Problem

Pressure, overload + conflict.

When work pressure collides with real life pressures (like dealing with health issues, financial strain or family responsibilities), unhealthy pressure rises.

This impacts team wellbeing and organisation performance.

Indicators that pressure has become unsustainable are:

  • Overload People feel there is too much work, unclear priorities, and constant urgency.
  • Conflict Stressed people, tension and communication difficulties.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we have to follow a set timeline?

Programmes are designed to work separately or together, over a suggested period of 3 months.

If you want to start working with A Brilliant Thing sooner than the next round or have already set timeline within your organisation for team development, we can tailor delivery and be flexible to your timelines.

We have a suggested timescale including initial

On completion of a programme, we provide 3 months of complementary access to our Professional Development Network and opportunities to share your work at our bi-annual events, to a national audience of trauma-informed organisations.

Is this right for my team?

One way to consider if our programmes would benefit you and your team is the Real Life + Work Reality equation. The more boxes you tick, the more designing how you work matters. And if you lead an organisation or team, this design work is essential because we guarantee your team will be experiencing some if not all of these pressures every day.

These programmes operationalise support and create a strategy for compassion, so that these values and behaviours are built into the fabric and structure of how you work, enabling teams to do create impact and results even when work and life pressures are present. Its not about fixing people, its about designing work for real life.

How many of these REAL LIFE boxes do you tick?

✅ Carer

✅ Parent

✅ Living with a health condition

✅ Neurodiverse

✅ Complex situation

✅ Health impacted by hormones

✅ Experienced injustice and inequality

And how many of these WORK REALITY boxes do you tick?

✅ Too busy

✅ No time or space to think

✅ Increasing demands and pressure

✅ Shifting priorities

✅ Heavy emotional load

Is Healing-Centred Design appropriate for my sector or organisation?

Healing-Centred Design® is a evidence-based, transformation framework, designed to work across sectors because every organisation relies on people, culture and relationships to create impact.

Whether you work in health, education, community services or another field, the quality of your internal culture directly shapes the outcomes you achieve. When teams are under sustained pressure, disconnected or unclear about priorities, it reduces creativity, decision-making and service quality. By strengthening leadership clarity, psychological safety, and healthy ways of working, Healing-Centred Design improves the conditions people work in. When culture improves, capacity, consistency and impact improve too.

‘Healing-Centred’ guides safe, supported development, that builds motivation and capacity. ‘Design’ creates sustainable solutions, instead of defaulting to urgency. You can learn more about Healing-Centred Design here or get in touch to learn more
